The complete legendary sessions at the famous Lighthouse Club at Hermosa Beach, performed on September 13, 1953, and recorded by the Contemporary Label that Sunday, when Miles Davis was in California. Miles jams with a sextet of in-house regulars Bud Shank, Max Roach, Bob Cooper, Lorraine Geller & Claude Williamson. Chet plays with his quartet & septet, including Jimmy Giuffre, Maxx Roach, Shelly Manne, and Russ Freeman.
