Demos from the Basement is an independently released CD by The Used (then known as Used). The CD did not have a name until theUSED801.com titled it Demos from the Basement in 2002 and the name stuck. This album was recorded in ex-drummer Branden Steineckert's bedroom. Bert recorded the vocals on a cheap mic in Branden's closet. It contains 10 demo tracks recorded on an eight track. It was released in June of 2001, only 6 months after The Used became an official band. There were only 200 copies made and the CD was handed out for free by The Used at local shows back in the day. It is now nearly impossible to get a copy of this CD
