As an addicted HTPC user for the last 5 years, I've used and tested almost any available player (freeware & shareware) around. Zoom Player WMV Pro is just the best of all! It's 100 customizable and plays ALL video formats, as long as you have the appropriate codecs and filters installed. This application uses "Graphedit" to auto build the playing graph for every file type. Most of us HD lovers, want to playback HD DVD and BLU-RAY without any kind of restrictions. Well, this the player to go with. It's not the easiest player to use but after working with it for some time and learn how to customize it, I'm pretty sure you won't need any other player installed in your pc. To be precise, the only reason you may have other players (like powerdvd 7, windvd 8 etc.), encoders or decoders installed is for ZP to use their directshow filters!
Zoom Player can take advantage of any directshow filter or codec and use it to build a graph in order to play a video or audio file. The "big secret" with ZP is to learn how to configure it through trial & error process. If you decide to use this player, please remember to install also "Haali media splitter" (freeware) "ffdshow" (freeware), "Sonic CinePlayer HD DVD decoder v4.3" (can be found in this forum), "Coreavc pro v1.6" (can be found in this forum), "Nvidia purevideo HD decoder" (shareware, just google and you'll find a rapidshare download for sure), "Nero 7 Ultra" (latest version) and "Ac3Filter v1.46" (freeware). With the above installed, you can play virtually ANY known audio or video file!
1) Install the app.
2) Copy patch into installation dir.
3) Run and apply patch.
4) Enjoy
