Robin and Wendy are a childless couple who have an unhealthy obsession with the contents of their garage. There they have built Mayfield, a model village which is the centre of their lives. But in suburbia the fun doesn't stop there, battle re-enactments, clinically depressed neighbours and randy German visitors are part of everyday life. 01 Alka Salsa - Maureen persuades Wendy to join her on a salsa weekend in Bognor. Robin reluctantly goes along too, so he can visit a model village.
02 - Derek is devastated when he hears that his ex-wife Jackie is unwell. After using Wendy as a shoulder to cry on, he rushes to Jackie's side.
03 Arrivederci Coma - Robin gets run over by a fork lift truck and ends up in a coma and Wendy has to decide whether to turn off his life support system. But she finds her mind wandering on to other matters when she meets Daniel, an attractive young patient on another ward, who's in need of some mothering. Meanwhile, Maureen can't decide how to spend the compensation money - a house in Spain or a fleet of luxury cars.
04 Anniversary Waltz - After Robin's near-death experience, Wendy decides she really wants a child. So she and Robin apply to adopt. Meanwhile, Derek thinks he's been abducted by aliens and Maureen wishes he had.
