With a flu epidemic running rife, three new bumbling recruits (Connor, Williams and Phillips) are assigned to Inspector Mills' police station. With help from Special Constable Gorse, they manage to wreck the operations of the police force and let plenty of criminals get away, even before they arrive at the station. They all have to prove themselves, or they'll be out of a job and Sergeant Wilkins will be transferred. Carry On Constable is the fourth Carry On film. It was released in 1960. Of the regular team, it featured Joan Sims, Kenneth Williams, Charles Hawtrey, Sid James, Hattie Jacques and Kenneth Connor. Other cast members included Leslie Phillips, Eric Barker, Joan Hickson, Shirley Eaton, Esma Cannon and Irene Handl. It was the first "Carry On..." film to include some nudity.
