This is a re-encode of prevails cam,which is ok …nothing special.
This type of film will never be great until a R5 release,due to the way the film is filmed…however
have been asked to do this so here you go ;-)
Prevails release was lacking contrast,wrong AR,lacked colour and has a slight pluse……..but looked a touch sharper and was less cropped than other releases.
Audio is better then some cams,but does contain some noise and is on the quiet side.
[Work Done:]
Done the best i could with this,but don’t expect too much given the sources i had.
First thing was to strip the audio and use a noise reduction filter and then i slighty changed
the EQ and resaved.
Then it was a case of loading the video and new audio into xpress and then mess with the filters.
I firstly changed the contrast….needed to be increased alot ,also needed to increase the chroma to add
some extras colour.
Also i used a contour filter to increase the sharpness more and finally i changed AR comapred to the original.
Overall nothing special but watchable…..6.5 all round IMO.
