The first animated film by the legendary director Steven Spielberg began its preparation back in 2008. So, it took three years to make this outstanding adventure film. The movie is based on the Belgian comic novel about a young journalist investigating an interesting case about pirates’ treasures. Tintin buys a beautiful ship model at the city fair; at the moment he buys it he is approached by the strange people who offer him any sum of money to rebuy the model. However, Tintin refuses and takes it home where his dog called Snowy accidentally breaks the model’s mast and notices some small detail which drops out from the ship. Later one of the men who tried to rebuy the model earlier that day comes to Tintin’s flat but is killed before he manages to say a word about a threat that he is now under. However, in the last moments of his life he shows Tintin the letters which would later lead him to the ship which would take him to some eastern country and meet with a legendary captain Haddock’s grandson.
