One of the most successful in financial terms animated movie was released in 2010. And his is one of the rare examples when the film gains popularity both with critics and with the general audience. Although this film was distributed by Universal Pictures it was animated in a French studio Mac Guff by Illumination Entertainment. Gru voiced by Steve Carell is an outstanding villain who is about to gain the world domination but each time when he approaches it he is left behind an even more evil villain Vector voiced by Jason Segel. This time Vector has stolen the Great Pyramid of Giza and Gru falls out of his mind and is wishes to steal the machine which is able to reduce objects. After it he says he is going to diminish and then to steal the moon. However, he experiences some trouble with the machine since Vector has already stolen it. Gru tries several times to break into Vector’s dwelling and steal the machine however each time he suffers failure. After such a failure he sees three little girls entering Vector’s apartment without any problems and selling Gru some cookies which he adores. These girls happen to be orphans and Gru has an evil plan to adopt the girls and to use them to achieve his goals. However, the girls are not that simple.
