This is the first adaptation of a fantastic novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs which was written between 1912 and 1943 and consists of eleven books. The film coherently follows the narration of the first novel called A Princess of Mars. This film is the first attempt to make a full live-action movie by the director and writer Andrew Stanton who is the director and co-author of highly successful animated films Finding Nemo (2003) and WALL-E (2008). The main protagonist’s name is John Carter, one day he finds himself in an unknown surroundings which later appear to be Mars. He is a former soldier and a veteran of Civil War. He is trapped by four-handed peoples dwelling the planet which they call Barsoom. He tries to save dying out species which must collaborate in order not to die.
