DC Comics Chronology - Post-Crisis Pack 45
featuring DC titles published between August 1992 and September 1992
Two allegedly ongoing series begin here. Volume 2 of Justice Society of America would only last 10 issues before DC decided that old guys weren\'t part of the plan, and Peter Cannon: Thunderbolt would hang around for 12 issues before expiring.
Three mini-series began, however: Lewis Shiner\'s 12-issue Hacker Files, which predated most people even having computers, Keith Giffen\'s The Heckler (six issues), and Hammerlocke (9 issues).
Some interesting one-shots and specials this pack, starting with Grant Morrison\'s Doom Force Special, a vicious parody of not only X-Force, but his own Doom Patrol series. The comic adaptations of both Batman Returns and Cool World were released as well. The hardcover graphic novel Star Trek: Debt of Honor was released, but is missing from this pack; the softcover version will appear in pack 48 in a few days.
Lastly, we throw a 50th anniversary party for Animal Man, while mourning the passing of the final regular Piranha Press title, Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children, with issue #30.
