The Superman books come to an end (for now) with Legacy of Superman #1. The Supergirl and Team Luthor special tries to fill in the gap. Meanwhile, Batman #492 features the beginning of a long crossover entitled \"Knightfall\", in which I guess something important happens.
Lots of new ongoing titles this pack, all but one of which were moderately successful: Legionnaires begins its 81-issue run this pack, and Milestone arrives with Hardware, which runs 50 issues, and Icon, which lasts 42. Sandman Mystery Theatre becomes the first ongoing Vertigo title, beginning a 70-issue run, and Kid Eternity follows for 16 issues.
One mini-series: the four-issue Danger Trail.
Flash v2 reaches issue 75; it\'s not a \"special anniversary\" issue, but it does appear to feature the return of a dead person:
