DC Comics Chronology - Post-Zero Hour Pack 20
featuring DC titles published between September 1996 and October 1996
One might get the idea that DC decided to focus on the core, as three ongoing series directly related to Batman and Superman hit the racks. Nightwing gets his own ongoing series, which is still running. Supergirl gets a series as well, and although it would only run 80 issues, it was only cancelled in order to reboot it. Superboy and the Ravers was probably not a great idea, and it only lasted 19 issues. Vertigo also had a new ongoing with House of Secrets; completely unrelated to the old horror comic (and, indeed, banned from using the Abel character), it ran 25 issues. Lastly, Helix launched another ongoing; Gemini Blood only lasted nine issues.
Two four-issue mini-series begin: Birds of Prey: Manhunt takes the girls out for another trial, and Garth Ennis joins Helix for Bloody Mary.
Fate comes to an end with issue #22.
