This off-air DVD-R copy I recorded in 2006 has some strange video artifacts on the left and right sides of the outer frame. I don't know why it transferred that way, and I wasn't able to fix it. (Maybe if I had adjusted the Frame Ratio that might have helped, but I'm not sure). That's why I converted this one at 1500 KBPS instead of the usual 1200.
Fortunately, the picture itself is clear and consistent.
